Exhibitions to See: Richmond, DC, New Orleans

design, exhibitions, galleries, inspirational people

Short on time tonight, but I wanted to post a couple of exhibitions of note in the DC area. First, Warhol’s “Headlines” is top of my list, at the National Gallery until the end of January.

Next, we’re going to be in New Orleans in January and I am hoping to get to stop in the New Orleans Museum of Art and catch the Odili Donald Odita mural and the Wayne Gonzales “Light to Dark, Dark to Light” exhibit.

Hopefully we’ll have time to catch some of the work associated with Prospect.2. I have my eye on an exhibit featuring Ashton Ramsey at the Ogden.

Here in Richmond we have an “Elvis at 21” exhibition coming next month to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts that looks pretty cool. It will feature photos by Alfred Wertheimer.

I am also making an early New Year’s resolution to visit our wonderful First Fridays art walk more often.

*Open to suggestion for other exhibitions if you feel so inclined!
